"The fact that you came to my home and were prepared to order a selection of wigs with no obligation to buy, was wonderful, and your after sales service is second to none"

Where Have my Eyebrows Gone? E-mail
I lost my eyebrows and eye lashes shortly after I lost my hair over 20 years ago. It was a very strange experience. I had no idea how important they were until I lost them. Oh how I missed them! I just felt like I looked weird. I lost all definition to my face. It also brought on problems I didn't anticipate like sweat dripping in your eyes and dust particles having no eyelashes to stop them. It is obvious when you think about it, but you forget you have body parts for a reason. It was difficult to find a solution to the problem.
I found when people would look at me I would automatically furrow my brow thinking that would somehow make it less noticeable! I couldn't concentrate on what people were saying to me. All that was going around in my head was "They are looking at my missing eyebrows they think I am ugly."
I did try some artificial eyebrows that you stick on- total disaster. I braved wearing them out for a day in London with friends. I actually had a man come up to my face and stare at me and asked me what I had on my face. I was totally humiliated and never wore them again.
I became very good at applying fake eyebrows myself by using make-up. I used eyeliner to substitute eyelashes. It worked well and I felt a bit more confident with the way I looked.
Thankfully things have moved on. There are so many products and services available for women with hair-loss. I am very grateful that eventually my eyebrows and eyelashes grew back. I know for many people this is not the case.
